MCCC has become the home for international soccer players. For years, it was just the men’s program that had players from all over the world, but the women’s program now has an international feel to it as well. Of the women’s team’s 18 players, 13 are international. Five players are from Germany, two from Brazil and two from England. Other countries represented on the Mercer roster include: Ireland, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland.
The five German players are Sarah Kircher (Celle), Laura Kucharz (Singen), Anna Maringer (Asperg), Linnea Rameil (Lennestadt) and Eva Sturm (Berlin). The two players from Brazil are Luana Nascimiento (Cariacica) and Ana Pacheco (Florianopolis) and two from England Louise Stritch (Preston Lancashire) and Francecsa Wright (Beccles).
