Mercer Women's Basketball is Back; 2024-25 Schedule Announced
After a two year hiatus, Mercer women’s basketball is back. The 2024-25 season will feature 29 games and two scrimmages. The Vikings season opens with a scrimmage on October 29th vs Passaic. Fourteen games will be played before the New Year and fifteen after. Division II Region 19 opponents include: Union, Raritan Valley, Del Tech, Harcum, Middlesex, Lackawanna, Essex and Salem.
Region home games in the first half of the season include: Union on November 19th, Raritan Valley on November 21st, Harcum on November 23rd, Essex on December 7th, Lackawanna on December 10th, Middlesex. Region road games in the first half of the season include: Middlesex on November 26th, Del Tech on December 3rd, and Salem on December 17th, and County College of Morris on December 19th.
In the second half of the season, Region 19 home games include: Middlesex on January 21st, Del Tech on January 28th, Salem on February 11th and County College of Morris on February 15th.
The Region Division II schedule will be tough for the Vikings as three opponents finished ranked in the Division top 20 poll: Union (8th), Harcum (12th) and Raritan Valley (receiving votes).
The Vikings will also take on some Division III teams that finished the 2023-24 season ranked: RCNJ Gloucester (12th) home on November 9th and Northampton (13th) on January 16th at home.
