Men's Soccer Enters Region 19 Playoffs as #1 Seed

Mercer men’s soccer will enter the Region 19 Tournament as the #1 seed. The Vikings will play the #3 seed Essex in the Region 19 Semifinals at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 28th. The other Region Semifinal game will be #2 Massasoit vs #4 Lackawanna and will also be played at MCCC on October 28th at 12:30 PM.
The winners of the Region Semifinal games will meet in the Region 19 Championship at 12:00 PM on Sunday, October 29th at MCCC. The winner of the Region Championship will advance to the District Championship to take on the winner of the Region 12 Championship.
The Vikings are currently 7-6-2. Mercer beat Essex 1-0 on September 27th and beat Lackawanna 3-1 on September 30th. Lackawanna is 5-4 and beat Essex 4-0 on October 7th. Essex is 4-6 on the season. Massasoit is the lone Division II school in Region 21 and becomes the 2nd seed for the Region 19 Tournament. Massasoit is 8-1-2 on the season.
Mercer has one final regular season game on Friday, October 13th vs Felician University JV at 4:00 PM.
