Men's Soccer Joao Delgado Named All-American

For the first time since 2015, Mercer Men’s Soccer has an NJCAA All-American.  Sophomore Joao Delgado (Sao Paolo, Brazil/Dr. Alfredo Cardoso) earned Second Team NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division II All-American Honors. 

Delgado was named the Region 19 Player of the Year and helped MCCC win the Region 19 Championship and Northeast District Championship.  Mercer also advanced to the 2024 NJCAA National Tournament for the first time since 2017.

Delgado was part of a strong offense that scored 84 goals this season, sixth most in the nation.  The forward had seven goals and three assists in fifteen games and had a .875 shooting percentage.
