Women's Soccer Mid Season Report

Halfway through the women’s soccer season, the Vikings are 5-1-1.  Mercer is one of three Division II teams in Region 19 and look to secure one of two playoff spots in the DII playoffs. The Vikings will host Essex on September 21^st and travel to Lackawanna on September 28^th.

Freshman Eva Sturm (Berlin, NJ/Gymnasium) has led the Vikings with five goals in seven games.  Sophomore Fiona Madigan (Dublin, Ireland/Fingal Community College) and freshman Ana Pacheco each have three goals this season to help lead a very balanced offensive attack for the Vikings.

Sophomore goalie Celina Oliviera (Ancara, Portugal/Escola Basica e Secundaria do Vale do Ancora) has 31 saves in seven games, which is 19^th best in the nation.

In 2023, the Vikings reached the Region 19 Championship but fell to Essex 2-1.
