MCCC Baseball Schedule Released

The 2024 baseball season opens up in February for the Vikings with four home games to start the year.  On February 24^th, the Vikings will host UConn Avery Point, followed by Suffolk CCC the next day.  The next weekend Mercer will host Rockland CC and SUNY Westchester CC on March 2^nd and 3^rd.  The Vikings will play three more games before heading to a shortened Myrtle Beach trip March 15^th-17^th.  Mercer will conclude their trip South with a doubleheader at College of Southern Maryland on March 19^th before opening Region play. 

 

 

The Vikings play each Region opponent in a three game series with one nine inning game followed by a doubleheader the next day, alternating home and away sites.  The Vikings begin Region 19 play with a game at Del Tech CC on March 22^nd, followed by a home doubleheader on the 23^rd.  Mercer will host Sussex CCC on March 28^th, followed by a road doubleheader on the 29^th.  Mercer will host County College of Morris on April 5^th and travel to CCM for a doubleheader on April 6^th.  The Vikings will host Lackawanna on April 12^th and play a road doubleheader on April 13^th.  The final Region series of the season starts with an away game at Raritan Valley CC on April 19^th with a home doubleheader on April 20^th.

 

Other home games for the Vikings in the 2024 season include Monroe College on March 10^th, RCSJ Gloucester on March 26^th and April 16^th, Salem CC on April 2^nd and Cecil College on May 2^nd, the Vikings final regular season game of the year.

 

Road games for the Vikings include Harford on March 5^th, Monroe on March 9^th, Delaware County CC on April 14^th and Frederick Community College on April 28^th.  Road games against Region opponents

 

RCSJ Gloucester won the NJCAA Division III National Championship last spring.  Mercer will face Lackawanna in Region, who finished the year ranked 19^th in the DII poll and Frederick CC who finished 20^th in the DII poll.

 

Mercer went 22-23 last spring in Head Coach Russ Stupienski’s first year as Head Coach.
