Men's Soccer Player Joao Delgado Named Region 19 Player of the Year
Sophomore men’s soccer player Joao Delgado (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Dr. Alfredo Cardoso) was named the Region 19 Men’s Soccer Division I/II Player of the Year. Delgado has seven goals in 13 games and a .875 shot percentage.
Delgado has led a MCCC offense that has scored 67 goals this season, which is 10th best in NJCAA DII men’s soccer. Delgado’s strong offensive play has also led the Vikings to 14-2-1 record and a #16 ranking in the latest NJCAA DII Men’s Soccer Poll.
