Women's Basketball Player Edwards Named GSAC Player of the Week
Freshman women’s basketball player Zaakirah Edwards (Philadelphia, PA/Mastery Charter) was named the GSAC (Garden State Athletic Conference) Player of the Week for the Week of January 26th-February 1st. Edwards helped lead MCCC to two wins last week, averaging 23.5 points including scoring 27 points in a 79-65 win at Essex. Edwards also went 14 for 15 from the free throw line in the win at Essex. Edwards did more than score this week. In an 88-55 win vs Del Tech, Edwards had eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals along with 20 points.
