Men's Basketball Player Love Named GSAC Player of the Week
Mercer men’s basketball player Jayson Love (Philadelphia, PA/Academy at Palumbo) was named the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Division II Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for November 24th-December 1st.
Love had an outstanding game on November 26th, scoring 28 points including a game-winning layup at the buzzer to give Mercer a 102-100 win in overtime at Middlesex. Love shot 50% from the field and was also a perfect 7 for 7 from the free throw line. Love's performance helped Mercer give #19 ranked Middlesex their first loss of the season.
The sophomore guard has averaged 19.7 points per game this season and shot an impressive 54% from the field.
