Mercer men’s basketball two sophomores will be recognized prior to their 7:00 PM game on February 11th vs Rockland CC for Sophomore Night.
Jayson Love is a Biology major from Philadelphia. Love is averaging 19.7 points per game, sixth best in Region 19 this season. Love is shooting 55.6% from the field and 44% from three point range. Love has 355 points this season and is also averaging 5.2 rebounds per game and 1.9 assists per game. In two seasons at MCCC, Love has 594 points. Love emerged as one of the team’s leaders last season and his hard work has helped him become one of the top players in the Region in his second year at MCCC.
Joe Lemly is a Sports Management major from Hamilton. Lemly worked his way into the starting lineup in the 2023-2024 season. Though quiet off the court, Lemly has become one of the team’s leaders this season. Lemly is averaging 5.6 points per game and shooting 43.5% from the field. Lemly’s unselfish play and reliability has been counted on the past two seasons. Lemly has earned All-Conference All-Academic honors all three semesters he has been at MCCC.
