Following six seasons as Head Coach of Men’s Lacrosse at MCCC, Rob Siris will be moving on from the program.  Siris helped to start the new sport at Mercer, with 2019 being their first season of collegiate competition. In his four seasons of competition, Siris had a great deal of success and finished with 16 wins, two Region 19 titles and a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament.

In his first season, Siris led Mercer to the National Tournament and a Region 19 title with an 11-10 win vs Ocean.  That same season Siris was named the Region 19 Coach of the Year and MCCC men’s lacrosse had their first NJCAA All-American in Brady Moore, who was also named both the Region 19 Player of the Year and Region 19 Offensive Player of the Year.

Siris finished his final season at MCCC with a Region 19 title following a 12-8 win vs Sussex.  Siris earned his second Region 19 Coach of the Year honor.  The Vikings were also GSAC (Garden State Athletic Conference) Champions this season. In addition to six MCCC players earning All-Region 19 honors this past season, sophomore Luke Vando was named the Region 19 Offensive of the Year and Co-Region 19 Player of the Year.  Siris also coached the 2022 Region 19 Defensive Player of the Year, goalie Thomas Cassucio.

In four seasons at Mercer, Siris coached 18 All-Region 19 performers, two Region 19 Players of the Year, two Region 19 Offensive Players of the Year, one Region 19 Defensive Player of the Year and one NJCAA All-American.

Siris came to Mercer after serving as Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Hopewell Valley Central High School since 2003, where he is also a Social Studies teacher.  While at Hopewell Valley, Siris earned 162 wins, five conference championships and two Mercer County Championships.  Siris was also named the Mercer County Coach of the Year four times during his tenure at Hopewell Valley.

Siris played lacrosse at Drew University where he was a two time All-Conference goalie, team captain and MVP.  Siris has served as Chairman of US Lacrosse Central New Jersey and worked with multiple club teams, clinics and camps throughout the area.
