Mercer women's tennis ended the 2013 season with a fourth place finish at the Region 19 Tournament held at Gloucester County College.  The Vikings finished with 4 points and tied with Bucks for 4th place in the tournament.  Freshman Valerie Gapco (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) won her opening match at 1st Singles 6-0, 6-3 over Bucks and then lost to eventual flight champion Terra McHenry of Gloucester in three sets 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.  Sophomore Nataly Hernandez (Trenton, NJ/Hamilton West) won a hard fought match at 3rd Singles over Bergen 6-2, 1-6, 6-2.  Freshman Miranda Leone (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington) won her opening match at 6th Singles 6-0, 6-1 over Bergen.  Leone and Kelly Runzer (Chesterfield, NJ/Northern Burlington) nearly pulled off a big upset at 3rd Doubles, losing to Ocean in three sets 7-5, 1-6, 6-4.
