Mercer women's soccer (4-4) lost to Essex on the road 3-5.  Rachel Martinez (Trenton, NJ/Ewing) scored the first Vikings goal on a header off a Samantha Hirthler (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington) direct kick.  Martinez again found the net for the second Vikings' goal on a penalty kick.  Lyndsey Buckley (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) scored the third Vikings' goal off a Chelsea Schultz (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) assist.  Goalkeeper Jackie Laurenti (Chesterfield, NJ/Northern Burlington) had 9 saves in the loss.
