Mercer women's basketball opened the 2016-2017 season with a 57-87 loss to Cecil, MD.  Freshman Jhava Wilson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) led the Vikings with 17 points and freshman Jonasia Grier (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) added 16 points and 7 rebounds.  Freshman Shaunice Palms (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) had 8 points and sophomore Amirah Terry (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the loss.
