Mercer women's basketball got their fourth win of the season beating UConn Avery Point 81-70 in their opening game of the CCRI Invitational hosted by the Community College of Rhode Island.  Freshman Jhava Wilson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) led the Vikings with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.  Sophomore Amirah Terry (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) had 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals and freshman Mary Kate Madonia (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) had 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.  Freshman Cassie Filipowicz (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) had a double double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 16 rebounds and freshman Shaunice Palms (Hamitlon, NJ/Nottingham) had 10 points and 8 rebounds in the win.
