Mercer softball opened the Region 19 season with two wins over rival Burlington.  In Game 1, Mercer beat Burlington 6-4.  Freshman Haley Leonhauser (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) had a home run and freshman Rachael Levach (Burlington, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) added 2 RBIs in the win.  Freshman pitcher Megan Mount (Frenchtown, NJ/Delaware Valley Regional) entered the 2-1 game in the second inning with bases loaded, two outs and a 3-0 count and struck out the Burlington batter to get Mercer out of a big jam.  Mount finished the game with 5 strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings to get her first win of the season.  Sophomore Dana Knapp (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) went 2 for 4 and sophomore Lyndsey Buckley (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) added an RBI in the win.
