Newark, NJ -

Mercer men's soccer was upset by Essex 2-3 in a game played at Weequahic Park in Newark.  The Vikings held a 2-1 lead at halftime, but the Wolverines scored two early second half goals to seal the upset win.  Sophomore Joao Cadima (Rutherford, NJ/St. Benedict's Prep) and freshman Eichii Yamaguchi (Osaka, Japan/Yonago Kita) each scored a goal and sophomore Adir Versano (Azor, Israel/Orf Holon) added an assist in the loss.
