Mercer men's soccer (18-0-2) won the Region 19 Championship for the second straight year, following a 3-1 win over rival Rowan College at Burlington.  Sophomore Obinna Iloka (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham), who was named the Region 19 Championship Offensive MVP scored the first goal of the game and also added an assist.  Sophomore Marco Rossi (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Sao Bernardo Do Campo) had the second Vikings' goal and sophomore Harin Lopez (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) helped seal the win with the third Viking goal of the game.  Sophomore Valdo Jean-Baptiste (Trenton, NJ/Daylight/Twilight) and freshman Arinze Iloka (Trenton, NJ/Life Center Academy) each added an assist in the win.  The Vikings' defense limited the Barons to just two shots on goal.  Freshman Emiliano Fama (Doral, FL/Penn Foster) was named the Region 19 Championship Defensive MVP.  With the win, the Vikings will host the Northeast District Championship and will face ASA on November 7th at 10:00 AM, seeking the chance to qualify for the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer National Championship.
