Mercer men's basketball (5-4) lost to last year's Region 19 Champion Essex 65-76 on the road.  The Vikings were led by a 25 point performance from freshman Dashante Alexander (Philadelphia, PA/Simon Gratz).  Freshman Dandre Parmley (Philadelphia, PA/Swenson) had 12 points and 8 rebounds and David Johnson (Philadelphia, PA/Communications Tech) added 11 points in the loss.
