Mercer baseball (40-12) closed out the regular season with a 6-3 win over Anne Arundel.  Freshman Alejandro Vazquez (Miami, FL/Miami Coral Park) went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBIs and sophomore Gabriel Castillo (Yonkers, NY/HS for Environmental Studies) had a triple and 2 RBIs.  Sophomore Anthony Peroni (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI.  Sophomore pitcher Mike Novello (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) struck out five in five innings for his eighth win of the season.  Sophomore Matt Chitwood (Miami, FL/Southwest Sr HS) struck out four in three innings of relief work and freshman Billy Meyer (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) struck out the side in the ninth to seal the Vikings fortieth win of the season.
