Mercer baseball (31-8) edged Brookdale, the #1 team in NJCAA Division III baseball, 11-10 in ten innings.  Sophomore Anthony Peroni (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) had a huge day for the Vikings, going 4 for 6 with 3 home runs and 4 RBIs.  Sophomore Gabriel Castillo (Yonkers, NY/HS for Environmental Studies) went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 RBIs and sophomore Anthony Boselli (Ventnor City, NJ/Holy Spirit) was 2 for 4 with a double and RBI.  Sophomore Nick Dabrio (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) had a double and RBI and sophomore Dan Shane (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) added an RBI.  Sophomore reliever Matt Chitwood (Miami, FL/Southwest Sr.) struck out 8 in five innings in the win.
