Myrtle Beach, SC -

Mercer baseball (15-1) finished their trip to Myrtle Beach with a 3-2 win over Northampton in 8 innings.  Sophomore pitcher Charles Morreale (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence) struck out 7 in 4.2 innings and sophomore Charles Paul (Burlington, NJ/Holy Cross) threw a shutout 8th inning to get the win.  Freshman Brandon Kirk (Yardville, NJ/Hamilton West) went 2 for 3 with two doubles and an RBI and freshman Joe Santospago (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Freshman Edward Ashley (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) was 2 for 3 with a run and sophomore Steven Todd (Millstone, NJ/Allentown) went 2 for 3 in the win.  The Vikings were 9-1 in Myrtle Beach.
