Mercer softball (33-6) won their opening game of the Region 19 Tournament, upsetting the #2 seed Del Tech Owens 3-1.  Freshman pitcher Kaley Wise (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) struck out seven in seven innings in her 17th win of the season.  Sophomore Tori Carpenter (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) went 2 for 3 with two doubles and 2 RBIs and freshman Tatum Marshall (Bordentown, NJ/Florence Twp.) added an RBI.  Freshman Carly Bailey (Clarksburg, NJ/Allentown) was a perfect 3 for 3 with a run in the win.
