Mercer baseball (35-11) split their doubleheader vs Lackawanna, which was postponed a day due to rain following two innings played on Saturday.  The Vikings won Game 1, 11-2.  Sophomore pitcher Dennis Brady (Vineland, NJ/Buena) struck out eight in five scoreless innings for his sixth win of the season.  Sophomore Anthony Peroni (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 RBIs and sophomore Erik Bowren (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 RBIs.  Sophomore Dan Shane (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) was a perfect 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 RBIs and 3 runs and sophomore Anthony Boselli (Ventnor City, NJ/Holy Spirit) went 2 for 3 with a double and RBI.  Sophomore Gabriel Castillo (Yonkers, NY/HS for Environmental Studies) and freshman Alejandro Vazquez (Miami, FL/Miami Coral Park) each added an RBI and freshman Sean McGeehan (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) had 2 hits and 2 runs in the Game 1 win.
