Mercer baseball beat Kankakee 5-0 in seven innings.  Kankakee beat Mercer in last year's National Championship game.  Sophomore pitcher Chris Mormile (Wildwood, NJ/Wildwood) struck out 9 in six innings for his first win of the season.  Sophomore Ciaran Devenney (Manalapan, NJ/St. John Vianney) went 2 for 3 with an RBI and sophomore Jimmy Versage (Cape May Court House, NJ/Middle Township) had a triple and RBI.  Sophomore Sean McGeehan (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) had a double and RBI and freshman Collin Sheehan (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) added an RBI.  Freshman Mark Saponara (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) had two hits in the win.
