WEST WINDSOR – The Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Marketing and Communications team brought home 16 awards in the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 1 competition, including the prestigious Communicator of the Year Award for Marketing and Communications Director Lynn Holl.
During the NCMPR awards ceremony in Mystic, Conn., community colleges from throughout the Northeast were represented in the competition. Mercer marketing team members Lynn Holl, Francis Paixao and Edyta Kuciapa created a multi-media presentation and served as MCs for the awards ceremony, which was based on a "Hunger Games" theme.
In addition to Holl's Communicator of the Year honors, Mercer was awarded eight gold, four silver, and three bronze medallions. Projects receiving recognition include:
- Gold: Academic catalog, MDE Dance poster, college viewbook, tuition reminder postcard, transit advertising, "Empowering Words" banners, and the 2012 NCMPR presentation.
- Silver: Truck wrap, Golf Classic event, feature article on Jim Franklin and Harry Camissa, Trenton ribbon cutting giveaway.
- Bronze: Billboards, 2012 NCMPR awards night, 2012 holiday greeting card.
Holl's Communicator of the Year Award is considered one of NCMPR's highest honors, recognizing a member for excellence and innovation in college communications and for advancing the marketing and public relations profession as a whole.
The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. As one of the fastest-growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR has more than 1,550 members from more than 650 colleges across the United States, Canada and other countries.
