Phlebotomy
Prerequisite: High school diploma or GED.
This program prepares students to work in a health care facility as a phlebotomist collecting
blood samples for laboratory analysis. Students who successfully complete the program will meet
requirements for National Board certification exams.
This program includes 54 hours of lecture/lab and 120 hours of clinical experience. Accepted
applicants must have a physical examination, required immunizations and show proof of health
insurance. Applicants will take a Reading Assessment Test or prove completion of college English
courses. One month of required clinical training will be conducted 8 A.M. - 5 P.M..
