Pharmacy Technician Certificate

Prerequisites: High school diploma or GED. High school algebra for pharmaceutical calculations course. Pharmaceutical background helpful but not required.

The Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam Prep Course is designed to provide students with the technical knowledge necessary for passing the national certification exam or to obtain an entry-level position to practice as a technician within a retail, hospital and home infusion pharmacy.

Students will be exposed to a "real world" practice environment through the use of audiovisual aids and the expertise of a licensed practicing pharmacist with many years of experience in all areas of pharmacy practice. Upon completion of the entire course, the student will be issued a certificate. However, students may take individual sessions as desired.

Textbooks required, available in the college bookstore.
