Certified Landscape Professional (CNLP)
Preparation Course for
Certified Nursery Landscape Professional Examination
This course, a voluntary program administered by the New Jersey Nursery and Landscape
Association (NJNLA), prepares you for the Certificate Nursery Landscape Professional
(CNLP) Examination. Topics include: plant biology, shade and flowering trees, narrow-leaf
evergreens, broad-leaf evergreens, flowering shrubs, herbaceous perennials, insects, weed
and disease identification and control, and management related skills. This course is open
to individuals who already have some skills in plant identification and culture.
The exam, which will be given during the last class session, will only be administered to
those who meet the criteria established by the NJNLA. Candidates for the exam must have a
minimum of two years work experience in a garden center, nursery, or landscape business.
