West Windsor, N.J. -- Mercer County Community College (MCCC) held its 42nd annual Employee Recognition Ceremony on May 16. Employees were awarded certificates and gifts for milestone years of service including 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years. Additionally, faculty and staff members who have retired during the 2018-19 academic year received plaques.
In an annual salute to MCCC staff members who "go above and beyond," two employees were selected for special honors. Beth Knight, Senior Executive Assistant for Student Affairs, was the recipient of the 2019 Human Relations Award and, Frank Benowitz, Senior Teaching Assistant for Hospitality Programs, received both the Human Relations Award and the Community Service Award respectively.
Presenters at the ceremony were MCCC President Jianping Wang, Board Co-Chairs Daniel D'Arpa and Angelique Simmonds and members of the Human Resources staff. Employee Quenten Couch performed two tap dance numbers. A barbecue lunch on the quad followed the ceremony.
