WEST WINDSOR – Mercer County Community College (MCCC) students, alumni, employees, and their immediate families will now have new options to continue their college education at a reduced cost through an agreement with Drexel University Online..
MCCC President Dr. Jianping Wang and Drexel Online President Dr. Susan Aldridge formally signed a Letter of Understanding at the Mercer campus in West Windsor on April 4 outlining the partnership, which provides for discounts of up to 40 percent for Drexel Online courses.
“Today’s agreement will remove yet another barrier for our students,” Wang said. “They now greater access to educational opportunities, a quality education, that is affordable. At Mercer, we want education to work for our students and for their future employers. That’s our goal.”
Course include instruction that can be applied toward bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees, as well as certificate programs on the graduate and undergraduate levels. Discounts are available to MCCC students, alumni, employees, board members, and immediate family members.
“This agreement provides discounts for our online programs not only for students, but for faculty, staff, adjunct faculty, and individuals who need to add additional credentials,” Aldridge said. “We feel this gives people in your community the opportunity to stay at work and stay in your community with their families. Our hope is that this is the beginning of many new opportunities.”
