Pierrot Productions Takes ‘Journey Into Broadway’ at MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre March 29 to 31

West Windsor, N.J. – Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre will come alive with the glorious sounds of Broadway as Pierrot Productions takes a “Journey Into Broadway,” featuring some of Broadway’s most beloved songs. This cabaret-style show will be presented Friday, March 29 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 30 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, March 31 at 2 p.m.

Kelsey Theatre is located on MCCC’s West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. The community is invited to an opening night reception with the cast and crew on March 29.

Musical numbers from some of Broadway’s greatest shows will be reprised in this stirring musical revue. Among those shows are Kiss Me Kate, Carousel, Phantom of the Opera, Waitress, Gypsy, The King and I, Pippin, My Fair Lady, Oliver, Matilda and The Wizard of Oz.

The multi-talented cast of singers and actors features beloved fan favorites including Jim Petro, of Hamilton, the co-founder of Rooftop Theatre Collaborative, who has appeared as Marius in “Les Miserables,” as Leo Bloom in “The Producers,” as Bobby in “Company,” and as Cosmo in “Singin’ in the Rain.” He is currently part of the touring company of “Married to Broadway” and recently completed a successful run at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. Alexandra Rush, of Philadelphia, Pa., has also played leading roles on the Kelsey stage, including Rose Fenny in “Dogfight,” Alison Bechdel in “Fun Home,” and Gabby/Bobbie in “City of Angels.”  Alexandra has also performed Off-Broadway and in several Philadelphia theaters. Kristen VonWachenfeldt, of Lawrenceville, was Mary Bailey in “It’s a Wonderful Life” at Kelsey and has also starred in shows at Newtown Arts and other community theaters. The show welcomes Kelsey newcomer Melissa Connell of Marlton, an actor and singer who has been seen in films, commercials, and television shows, as well as in leading stage roles.

Also featured in this musical extravaganza are Elena Marie Abdou of Monroe, Olivia Schanbacher, Matthew Krauss, Neddy Rossi, Liz Susswein, Laurie Bershad, Jennifer Boutros, Ella Cassara, Elisa Crapanzano, Giancarlo Crapanzano, Joann Fulginiti, Lyndsey Goehrig, Stephanie Harden-Giunta, Rosie Karlin, Scott Karlin, Cameron McCormick, Katherine Rittenbach, April Rohland, Olive Ross Kline, Lucia Rossi, Dan Slothower, Lucy Spiegel, Catherine Taraba, Teresa Welby, Miranda Zimmerman and Stephanie Zimmerman.

Tickets are $20 for adults; $18 for seniors; and $16 for students/children. They may be purchased online or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-570-3333. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible, with free parking next to the theater.
