Floral Design Certificate

Our popular Floral Design classes now comprise the Floral Design Certificate program at The Center for Continuing Studies. This brings students a well-rounded experience with design, enabling them to transfer what is learned in class immediately into their home or business settings. Recently, Instructor Deborah Pomroy Moyer received this note and photo from her student:

Hi Debbie,

I just wanted to say thank you for an amazing class last night.

I really learned alot and enjoyed the class and your style of teaching.

Today I took my foam based arrangement and placed in a brass compote that I absolutely love.

Thought you would like to see the end result.

Looking forward to the Organic class in October.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Nichole

To earn the Floral Design Certificate, students must complete eleven classes and present a final portfolio and floral design to three MCCC panelists. The eleven floral design classes must be completed within a two year time frame which begins with the semester of their first class. An accelerated summer program is being offered allowing students to complete the certificate in one semester. The variety of courses offered in this well-rounded floral design certificate program cover many design techniques from corsage construction, tropical floral designs, and armature design work. Each course during the spring and fall is three hours in length.

All students are required to complete Basic Floral Design as one of their eleven classes.  Please note: Senior Citizen Discount is not applicable to these classes.
