This personal trainer course is a great start to becoming a successful Certified Personal Trainer with an option to complete an employer internship that can walk you right into work! This challenging course is for candidates wanting LIVE instruction with in-depth, hands-on practical lab to master the essential career skills and knowledge. The course consists of 15 hours of lecture on key topics like biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing, equipment usage, health assessment and 15 hours of hands-on practical training labs with role playing drills on assessing clients, programming, performing proper exercises, presentation skills and more. Included in this course is a complete 200-page student workbook, access to online student study tools and test vouchers to take the Certified Personal Trainer exams. BALLET FITNESS

During this ballet-inspired fitness class, you will learn the classical techniques of a traditional practice whle incorporating a modern twist and an energizing fitness fusion. Designed to stretch and strengthen muscles and joints, increase flexibility, improve technique and correct alignment, all while learning and having fun! Basic ballet fundamentals, terminology, vocabulary, and posture will be incorporated into toning and cardio exercises in the center of the floore. It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Jazz, ballet, socks, or bare feet are acceptable footwear. No dance experience required, just the desire to learn and more.

Belly Dancing

Discover the beauty and mystery of this ancient art form. Raqs Sharqi, oriental dance or belly dance will help you tone, strengthen and improve flexibility, feel more confident, elegant and poised.

 

Recommended Attire and Dance Etiquette: Please wear comfortable clothing that allows complete freedom of movement, such as jazz pants, yoga pants, or sweat pants along with a tank top, crop top, or belly shirt. Don’t be afraid to show your stomach! We all come in various shapes and sizes and encourage all to shimmy!  

No shoes allowed on the dance floor. If you have a problem with dancing barefoot, you can purchase half-soled shoes, foot thongs, or foot undies that protect the ball of your foot and simulate being barefoot.

Some hip scarves available to use at every class.

Food, gum and beverages are not allowed in the dance room.

Bring water.

 

Beginner Class

You will learn basic stance, basic arm and body movement and positions most often seen in Egyptian style belly dance. Moves include upper body isolations, hip movements, undulations, travel moves, and basic combinations. A choreography suitable for performance will be taught that will continue into the next level. A portion of each class will be devoted to warm up and cool down.

You will refine movements learned in the beginner’s class and will begin working with props (finger cymbals or zills, and veil). During this course, you will continue working on the choreography introduced in the previous level. A portion of each class will be devoted to warm up and cool down.

Boating Safety

Boaters Licensing Preparation Safe Boating and Personal Watercraft Course

(Ages 13+)                                                    

This licensing course prepares students and satisfies the State of New Jersey requirement to lawfully operate a boat or personal watercraft. All necessary filings are completed for each participant after successful passing of the licensing test administered at the conclusion of the class. This course is accredited by the N.J. State Police. All materials included.
