Year In Review

The women's basketball team posted a strong effort throughout the season but camemup short in the Region 19 Playoffs, losing its opening round match against rival Burlington CC 59-64.  The women's team shared the Garden State Athletic Conference title with Burlington, finishing the season with a 21-9 record under 20 year Head Coach Mike Tenaglia.  Freshman Alexis Sweet (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) earned First Team All-Conference and All-Region honors and was named one of the top five players in Region 19.  Sophomore Sam Foley (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham HS) earned First Team All-GSAC honors while freshman teammate Azaria Crews (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) was named to the GSAC Second Team.  Foley will continue her basketball career at Georgian Court University while teammate Jennifer Casper, who missed the season due to an ACL injury, will resume her basketball career at Cabrini College.  Coach Tenaglia will look for continued solid play from All-Conference selections Sweet and Crews as well as an increased role for returning players Showana Paul (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central), Marelys Williams (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) and Lauri Regan (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence HS).  The Vikings will miss the leadership of two year players Kiara Boone (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial HS), Sam Cobbs (Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Regional HS), and Lauren DiVeglio (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury HS) who is headed to York College.
