Mercer men's basketball opened up the 2014-15 season with a 77-67 win over Rowan College at Gloucester.  Sophomore David Johnson (Philadelphia, PA/Communications Tech) led the Vikings with 17 points and sophomores Dashante Alexander (Philadelphia, PA/Simon Gratz) and Tyliek Kimbrough (Brooklyn, NY/Boys and Girls) each added 13 points in the win.  Sophomore Mustafa El-Amin (Mt. Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) had 11 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds and sophomore Petar Milivojevic (Belgrade, Serbia/Crenshaw Christian) chipped in 9 points in the Vikings' season opening win.
