Mercer men's basketball (3-11) fell short of a win in their first game of 2016, losing to Frederick, MD 63-68 in a game played at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC.  Freshman John Armstead (Brown Mills, NJ/BCIT-Medford) led Mercer with 17 points and sophomore D'Andre Parmley (Philadelphia, PA/Swenson Arts & Technology) added 13 points and had 7 rebounds in the loss.  Freshman Kevin Avent (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) had 10 points and 6 rebounds and sophomore Ezren Bell (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) chipped in 10 points and 4 steals in the loss.
