Orientation
Welcome to the Technology Learning Center
The Center offers computer assisted learning and tutorial services in room LB 202 on the West Windsor Campus.
How can a computer help me? How can tutors help me?
- Specialized software in the lab can read your textbook to you as you read along.
- You can take notes and highlight important points using this software.
- You can also type your essays, and the computer will read them back to you.
- A voice-recognition program allows you to verbally dictate to the computer, and the computer will type along as you speak.
- You can prepare flashcards on the computer and keep track of your progress.
- Magnifiers help you to see your texts and written materials more clearly.
- Special disks for some classes are available to help you study your assignments.
- Learn the software; work independently or get help if you need it.
How can tutors help me?
- One-on-one tutoring can make the difference between passing and failing a course.
- Our tutoring specialties include mathematics (MAT020 and MAT030), reading & writing (ENG 020, ENG 030, ENG 025, and ENG 035) and study skills.
Make an appointment to meet with one of our tutors; find out if tutoring is for you!
