Application for Admission
We are pleased that you have decided to apply to Mercer County Community College. These instructions will help you with this easy process. Steps to Enroll
- Please fill out all areas of the application form that are "starred" and in red, and others that are appropriate to your application.
- Request that your high school -- and any college you attended -- send official copies of your transcript and immunization records to:

New Jersey State Law requires that each student intending to attend Mercer full-time must submit an Immunization Record signed by his/her physician, indicating that he/she has received two live doses of MMR (Mumps/ Measles/ Rubella). Print the form.
- You may take the college skills placement test (CSPT) any scheduled date.
Nonnative speakers of English must contact the Admissions Office to arrange for the English as a Second Language Test. Call 609-586-4800 ext. 3531 or e-mail immordia@mccc.edu.

The CSPT is used solely for guidance and placement and does not determine eligibility for admission in any way. If you have taken the CSPT at another college, please arrange for an official copy of your scores to be sent to:

Exemptions from the placement test
- A score of 500 or higher on the verbal portion of the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) exempts you from the verbal portion of the placement test.
- A score of 500 or higher on the math portion of the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) exempts you from the math portion of the placement test.
- A score 21 or higher on the ACT.
- Transcript evidence of a degree from an accredited US college or university.
- Transcript evidence of college-level English or mathematics courses.
- Enrollment in ESL courses.
If you are exempt, please have official score reports sent to the Student Records Office at the address above.

- When your placement results are available, you will meet with an academic advisor to discuss your background and interests, and review transcripts of earlier work. During this meeting the advisor will discuss your chosen program and arrange a schedule of classes for the first semester.
